For my theatrical productions, the first thing I always do is a stage model. I like the concentration needed to produce the minuscule elements of the future stage space: the furniture of a room, or the structures of the abstract spaces that can become many places during the play. The feeling that I create this world helps me think of what can take place there, and who can live there. But when the production is done, the models do not go away, but continue to live a life of their own. And this is why I have provided them with new trajectories, sometimes bringing together elements of very different productions or just introducing into them something else, some quite different object that I have encountered by chance… I have shown them in several forms, but last time they were assembled into a huge black tube, with little windows on the side, like illuminators of a ship, from where you could peek into them.
